The Wellgate is situated at the head of the High Street in the city centre of Dundee and it is the oldest indoor shoping centre in Dundee. Its is also the biggest with three levels consisiting of over 50 shops to choose from. The first level houses a large Savvi music and McDonalds.
The second level has Woolworths and superdrug and on the third level you can access the Dundee public libary.
The Overgate was only opened in 2000 after a major redevelopment and it has now become the main indoor shopping area in Dundee, surpassing the older Welagte Centre.
There are plenty of shops available with top brands such as Argos, Next, French Connection and Debenhams to choose from.
The waterfront area of Dundee has seen much investment in recnet years as part of a city regeneration project. The city quay is part of this and inside you will find a good selection of restaurants and shops. This includes an excellent T.K Maxx, Dominos Pizza and a large Next accross the road.
The High Street provides the main outdoor shopping area with a row of shops on both sides running inbetween the two main indoor shopping centres.
There are many top clothing and retail stores available with the main brands being HMV, Carphone Warehouse and Game.
Just off the high street there is commercial street and the seagate with a small selection of other stores that include Blacks Outdoor shop and Waterstone bookstore.
